Prior to the service being carried out, The Pet Valet will meet with the client and their pet to introduce themselves, the services and ensure the pet and the owner are comfortable with The Pet Valet. This gives the client the opportunity to talk through the habits of the pet, and discuss the services that you want from The Pet Valet.
Cancellation fees only apply if The Pet Valet turns up to the client’s house for the service. There is no need for 24 hours’ notice – as long as The Pet Valet doesn’t turn up to the client’s door to carry out the service, there is no cancellation fee.
Method of payment for services will be discussed with all clients on an individual basis – whether it be by cash, cheque, or electronic payment. Apart from holiday services, payments are made after the service has been completed. There is a 25% deposit payment for any holidays over seven days. Payment must be within 30 days of the date on the invoice.
Clients must provide a spare key for The Pet Valet to access the property. When not in use, the client’s keys will be placed in a secure safe for added security. The keys and the property’s address will always be kept separate as an added measure.
If the client’s pet is unwell and needs immediate attention from a vet, The Pet Valet will contact the client’s vet. The Pet Valet will also have access to a 24 hour vet in-case of an emergency out of the client’s vet’s operating hours. In an emergency, the last thing The Pet Valet wants to do is waste time –The Pet Valet will take the pet to the vet straight away, unless the client has specifically stated otherwise. The Pet Valet will not be accountable for the incurred costs of the vet visit – all clients must have an agreement with their vet regarding payment - in an emergency The Pet Valet will take the pet to the vet and the incurred costs of the vet visit must be paid for by the client. The Pet Valet will retain all receipts and written communications with the vet for this purpose.
All dogs will be on the lead when going for a walk – unless specific requirements from the client state otherwise. If dogs off the lead begin to exhibit aggressive behaviour to other people or animals, they will be returned to the lead for their safety and others.
